Mr. Wali attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and graduated with Bachelor of Law (LL.B, Hons) in 1979. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1980 and obtained Masters of Law (LL.M) with specialization in International Human Rights Law from the University of Essex, England in 1985. After doing the National Youth Service during the 1980/81 Service year with the Rivers State Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID), he joined the Kano State Civil Service in 1981, where he worked as a State Counsel in the Kano State Ministry of Justice until 1987 when he resigned to join the services of Afribank Nigeria Limited as a Manager. While in Afribank, he pioneered the establishment of the Area Legal Office in North-East Area Office, Kano and rose through the ranks to the grade of General Manager. He voluntarily retired from the services of Afribank as the Group Company Secretary/Legal Adviser, in January 2009 and started Private Legal Practice before his appointment as the Executive Director, Management Services with the Nigerian Export-Import Bank on 14th August 2009. Mr. Bashir Wali is a Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management and Business Recovery & Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria as well as an Honorary Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He is happily married with children.
Dr Abolo holds a Ph.D degree in Econometrics from the University of Lagos and is a fellow of three professional institutes in Nigeria. He is also an Honorary Member (CIBN). He was awarded National Merit Award by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 1984. He is a consummate professional with extensive experience in risk management, project management, strategy crafting and execution spanning over 20 years. He is a business development expert and has the ability to link risk to corporate strategy. He was a two term President, Risk Managers Association of Nigeria. He was one time Group Head, Operational Risk Management, Project Manager, Basel II, Chief Economist, Head, and Strategy all at First Bank of Nigeria Plc Currently Dr Emmanuel Moore Abolo is the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, Nigerian Export-Import Bank. Prior to this time, he was the Chief Economist & Head, Group Market Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Chief Anti-Fraud Officer, ERM Co-ordinator, Member, MCC, Project Manager-Basel II and Knowledge Manager all at Access Bank Plc. Dr Abolo has also worked in the following organisations: Coopers & Lybrand, National Centre for Economic Management and Administration, Financial Post,etc. Dr. Abolo is also Council member, Gerson Lehrman Group; GRC Faculty member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and Member, National Think Tank and PRMIA group member (Operational Risk and Business Continuity Management. He is a member of many professional bodies NES, NESG, etc. He is equally listed among Africa’s finest minds in Risk Management by the World Bank. Dr.Abolo is happily married with Children.
VERY REV. IFEANYICHUKWU CHIDIADI NWADE graduated from the prestigious University of Lagos in 1988 with B.Sc. (Honours) Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Calabar and obtained Diplomas in Theology and Computer Operations. He joined the services of NEXIM on March 4, 1992 and has worked in various departments of the Bank. He was Head of Corporate Affairs from 2000 to 2001, Head of the Underwriting Department of the Bank from March 2007 and later in January 2009 was redeployed to Head the Credit Administration – Project Finance Department of the Bank. Very Rev. Nwade is presently the Deputy General Manager/Head of the Project Finance Department of NEXIM Bank. He also represents the Bank as President of the West African Bankers Association (WABA) Nigerian Chapter. He is a Professional/Chartered Engineer (MNSE), a Chartered Manager (MNIM), a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and Equipment Leasing Association of Nigeria (ELAN). He is also a Senior Associate Member of the Risk Managers’ Association of Nigeria (RIMAN). He is a Fellow of The Institute of Credit Administration (FICA).
He has skills and competencies in Marketing, Credit Appraisal, Project Supervision, Treasury, Foreign Operations, Underwriting, Corporate Communications, Trade Finance, Corporate Finance and Project Finance. Very Rev. Nwade’s working career, which spans over twenty eight (28) years, commenced in 1986 at Volkswagen of Nigeria, Guinness Nigeria Limited and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Very Rev. I. C. Nwade is an Ordained Minister in the Methodist Church Nigeria and is currently stationed in the Abuja Archdiocese of the Church. He harmoniously combines his Banking Occupation with his calling as a Clergy Man. Very Rev. I. C. Nwade is happily married with children.
Ahmed D. Modibbo joined the services of NEXIM Bank on 8th March 1993 and is currently the Secretary to the Board/Legal Adviser. Modibbo holds an LLB (Honours) Degree from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, in 1990, a BL (Barrister at Law) professional qualification from the Nigerian Law School Lagos, in 1991. Between 2004 to 2006, he obtained the International Bar Association/ College of Law of England and Wales International Practice Diplomas in International Mergers & Acquisitions, International Business Organizations, International Competition Law, International Intellectual Property Law and International Joint Ventures. In March 2007 he became the first Nigerian to attain the status of a Fellow of the International Bar Association in International Legal Practice. In October 2005, he acquired a UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training & Research) Certificate in Negotiation of Financial Transactions. He is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Bar Association and is also a Student Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK) and was at one time a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria Technical Committee on Realisation of Secured Credits in Nigeria. In addition to his primary responsibilities, he had carried out several key assignments for the Bank such as the coordination of the Banks Corporate Transformation Programme [2010-2011]. Before joining the services of NEXIM he had a brief stint as a Legal Officer with the Voice of Nigeria, Lagos and was also in private legal practice. Mr.Modibbo is married with Children.
Ms Dorothy Enuka OGBUTOR is currently the Head, (Specialised Business Department) of Nigerian Export-Import Bank [NEXIM]. She is a graduate of the University of Jos with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology in 1988, and an MBA from the University of Calabar in 2004. Ms Ogbutor worked briefly in two Finance Houses as Treasury Officer, from where she began her banking career with the Nigerian Export-Import Bank [NEXIM] on February 1, 1993 as Export Credit Officer II, and has since been in the services of the Bank till date.
Ms Ogbutor in the number of years in the Bank had acquired broad experiences in various aspects of the Bank’s operations [Corporate Services and Business Development Groups]. The positions held prior to the present schedule are Head Calabar Area Office, Head Lagos Area Office, Head Trade Finance Appraisal Department and Head Treasury/Foreign Operations.
Ms Ogbutor represents the Bank at various meetings, fora, and professional bodies. Some of the representations include Executive Council Meeting of the West African Bankers Association [WABA]; United Nations, International Trade Facilitation Forum; Association of Nigerian Development Finance Institutions [ANDFI], and was the pioneer Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Association titled “Development Finance Platform” as well as Association of African Development Finance Institutions [AADFI] to mention but a few.
She also represents the Bank at various strategic partnership meetings with Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Export Group; NACCIMA Export Action Group, etc. Currently, she is the Alternate Director, representing NEXIM on the Board of NEXPORTRADE Houses Limited, a Public/Private Partnership [Export Trade House/Export Facilitation] company, in the Nigerian company and a Director in NEXPORTRADE Houses Liberia Inc.
As the Head, Specialised Business Department, some of her core functions include managing Strategic Alliances with Export Credit Agencies [ECA’s], EXIM Banks, as well as multilateral institutions and other international financial institutions. In addition, sourcing & managing of operational funds through Concessionary Loans, Lines of Credit as well as facilitate funding under loan syndication and co-financing arrangements, and undertaking financial advisory services.
Ms. Ogbutor is widely travelled and had attended so many training programmes, workshops and conferences both in Nigeria and overseas.
MRS. ADAEZE MARIE-THERESE EBEGBULEM, AGM/Head Trade Finance Department graduated from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri in 1990 with a Bachelor of Engineering Technology Degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering.
After her National Youth Service Corps in Rivers State, she commenced her professional career in 1991 with Bull Information Systems Nigeria Limited as a Software Engineer. She left Bull Information Systems Limited in November 15, 1993 to join the Nigerian Export-Import Bank as an Export Credit Officer.
During her career in the Bank, she has headed several departments including Information Technology Department, Credit Admin – Trade Finance Department, Admin Services Department, Human Resources Department and Trade Finance Department. She is currently the AGM/Head, Trade Finance Department and the Acting Head, Human Resources Department.
She has over the years acquired skills and competencies in marketing, credit appraisal, international trade finance, credit administration/supervision, team building, management of human resources and process automation.
Mrs. Ebegbulem is a Certified International Trade and Finance Professional (by the Institute of Financial Services, UK). She is also a Chartered Information Technology Professional and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and a Member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
Adaeze is happily married with children.
Chinedu Moghalu is a public relations expert, lawyer, social scientist, and successful community organiser. He has a balanced mix of composite skills and expertise in corporate communication, especially crisis communication; government/public relations; reputation management; corporate social responsibility, imaginative writing, strategic policy formulation frameworks, social analysis and labour relations; national and international contacts; entrenched knowledge of legal and political systems as well as business of Legislative bodies; fully savvy in information-communication-technology, storytelling, public speaking and results-oriented people management.
Prior to joining NEXIM Bank on February 1, 2011 as Head of Corporate Communication, Mr Moghalu worked for more than 10 years career with various United Nations Agencies both at national, regional and global levels. Chinedu Moghalu holds an M.Sc. degree in Social Sciences, in addition to a B.Sc. degree in Political Science and an LL.B/BL degrees from the University Nigeria, Nsukka, University of Lagos, Akoka and Nigerian Law School. He is a member of the NBA, IBA, IPRA, the AU/UNECA backed African Development Forum, etc
MR. MATHIAS TERHEMBA SENDAVE, AGM/Head Internal Audit graduated from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. After his National Youth Service Corps in Rivers State, he started his professional training with the then Peat Marwick Ani Ogunde & Co., which later became KPMG and then Akintola Williams Deloitte. This training exposed him to financial operations in different sectors of the economy including finance and banking, educational, manufacturing, services, government, non-governmental and the like.
He left Deloitte in 2009 for American University of Nigeria, Yola as the Director of Financial Operations. He was later promoted to Senior Director before joining NEXIM on 1 July 2015.
Mr Sendave, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria also obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola in 2014 and is currently running a PhD programme in Business Administration with American University of Nigeria, Yola.
